broken hymn progress

Hi everyone,
This is a quick progress update preview, with screenshots of a few of the things I've been making for the next release of the game.  I've mainly been adding to the storyline, adding/editing events and making new maps for Reulan Keep, here's an example of a few of the new maps:

I've also remade and created a number of new prince lean sprites for the game:


Um, this maybe a bit confusing, but I've also created a script that automatically loads all side-doors circles, so I won't have to manually create an extra page for each event to show the circle sprites(Previously I would have to add an extra page to every event that is a side-doors).  Basically, this makes showing/hiding side-door circles automatic.

For the next release, the story might be reorganized a little and the game's new content will probably focus mainly on lean's storyline. 


I've also been planning the first h-scene for the game lately and started putting it together, but I'm not sure right now if I'll have enough time to complete it for the next release.  So if an h-scene is not on the next version of the game, there will be at least one h-scene on the version after the next.  I was hoping to release a new version of the game this month, but due to a number of factors(such as limited free-time, and that this time of year is especially busy for me right now and the complexity of this game being more difficult(mainly the writing and mapping) than anything I've done before on rpg maker), the game may not be ready until sometime next month.  So right now, if not sometime this month, the new version should be released sometime next month.

Broken Hymn v0.1.5



Hello everyone,
Here's a new version of Broken Hymn.
It's really been far too long since the last release. This is primarily a battle system update, but there are many other additions/changes here too.  You can find the list of main changes since the last version here.  Also, I will begin progressing the main storyline on the next release.

Also, the fate of this game will likely be decided on the next few releases, I would love to make this a long, completed game, so if alot of you guys like this game, I will continue making it. However if most of you guys aren't interested in this game, it may be canceled after about 2 more releases. So please let me know if you guys like this type of game.

Broken Hymn Progress Update

Hi everyone,
The next version of Broken Hymn is almost ready.  This update will focus on the battle system but there is a number of other things too.  Including the following:

Here's an example of how the redone outside region near Reulan Keep looks like now without lighting/effects(Around the royal garden).



Shouko can now block attacks with her sword by holding the A key.  She will block attacks coming from the direction she's facing.


A quest log system has been added, which list all your active and past quests.


The game now has an auto-save features, this means that the game can now automatically save at certain points in the reserved autosave slots.  The save/load menus will now also show screenshots taken the time each savefile was saved.  These are saved as png files and named the same way the savefile is.


There are alot of other stuff too, I will be keeping a changelog for this game where I'll try to note the changes in the game from now on.  Here's a list of the main changes for the next version of the game:
  • Shouko now has sword sprite animations for attacking(weapon now visible while attacking)
  • Enemies now have sword and bow sprite animations for attacking
  • Shouko can now do a defensive sword-block to protect her from attacks by holding the A key
  • Removed player diagonal movement
  • Re-balanced battle system
  • Enemy attacks do a lot less damage and armor has lower defense
  • Teammates attacks do less damage to enemies
  • Teammates AIs improved, will now attack enemies throughout the maps
  • Teammate sprites updated slightly
  • Added Optional battle tutorial at beginning of game
  • Added Auto-Save system, the game can now auto-save in 3 different save-slots
  • Added Auto-Save points throughout game
  • Added Screenshot with Saves system, the game will now show screenshots of each save file when saving/loading
  • Added Quest Log system, can be used to keep track of objectives
  • Added Icon that flashes on top-left of screen shortly when quest log is updated
  • Added animated circles to doors that could be difficult to find
  • Edited medical herb sprite, it now sparkles near the ground to help make it easier to locate
  • Fixed collision bugs that allow you to pass-through solid objects
  • Deleted many unneeded events from valley maps to help improve game performance
  • Changed key to fast-scroll game text to x key
  • Fixed fatal bug that could make player to freeze during combat(should be fixed now)
  • Fixed bug causing certain teammates from walking to the second part of the valley map 
  • Fixed bug causing Shouko's experience to reinitialize  
  • Redesigned Reulan Keep's outside map completely(only shown for a few seconds in demo1)
  • Disabled shouko's attacking during non-combat portion of game
  • Fixed a number of spelling/grammar errors
 Most everything listed above has already been implemented, but a few things I'm still trying to adjust in the game like the auto-save feature and the tutorial.  Once everything is finished, I will post the new version of the game. ^^  So the new version of Broken Hymn will be released by or before the end of this month.

GxL blog poll results

Hi everyone,
While GxL was in development, I did a number of polls just for fun on this blog(these polls didn't effect the game like the patreon polls).  So I thought you'll might like to see some of the results just for fun.

Desires Of Persephone - First Chapter live on patreon

Hi everyone,
Desires Of Persephone - First Chapter is now live on patreon.  Originally I didn't plan to release this game at all, but I thought alot of people might like it. 
For now this will only be on patreon as a special way to thank all my patreon for their support, but I will eventually post the game here on my blog as well.  Sorry if this is a bit disappointing.


Also, I am now developing more broken hymn(as well as an untitled non-rpg maker game) and a new demo of that will likely be my next release.

MMD: Haku - Erotic Donut Hole

I've abit busy lately, but I've also been experimenting with MMD as I try to learn it lately and created this video.  For this video I've tried something a bit more difficult by adding sex into the dance motion.

future plans

Hi everyone,
(Alot of the following is a repost from my patreon page)

With GxL's completion, I'm now officially resuming the creation of Broken Hymn(my favorite of my rpg maker games) once again. 


But before I continue it's storyline, I would like to change a few things within the game(partly to make the gameplay easier).  Here are some of the current plans for the next version of broken hymn:

-Swords/weapons sprites edited and applied to the game, making the weapons shown when the player/teammate/enemies use them to attack.

-Easier difficulty in battles(Shouko has more health, enemy attacks weaker and/or slower, etc.)

-Adjusted teammates AI in battle

-Enemies show some sign before they attack(if possible)

-A quest log/objective system

-Fix mapping issues(such as bugs that let you walk though certain tiles)

-Circles on side-doors and certain areas that leads to other maps to make them easier to find.

-And more.

This will basically be a large battle system update as well as an update to make the gameplay a bit easier for anyone who's having trouble(this update also may however, have a small amount of new  additional storyline).  After this release, I'm planning to offically continue the game's storyline again.
However, Broken Hymn's overall future will depend on how much interest there is in it from everyone.  In total, I will likely do 2 or 3 more releases of Broken Hymn, afterwords, if there is a fairly high amount of interest in Broken Hymn, I plan to continue making it, however if there isn't much interest in it, Broken Hymn will likely either be cancelled or put into irregular development, and my new (non-rpg maker game, that I've yet to reveal) game will very likely become my main focus.

In addition to Broken Hymn, I'm also planning to release what I've done of my other rpg maker game, Desires of Persephone.



This game is technically an incomplete demo, however it was also the main game I developed in 2013(the year I was almost completely absent from this blog), so it is rather lengthy.  However, due to a past hard drive data corruption, some content must be re-added before I can post it.  So at some point after I fix everything, I will be releasing the game on patreon as Desires of Persephone: First Chapter
Please note thought that this game is not in development and there aren't any plans currently to continue it(unless there's significant interest).  Also, if anyone is curious, please click here for a little bit more info about the game(from a previous post).

MMD: Lots of Mikus - Shake It!





Hi everyone,
More recently, I've been trying to learn about MikuMikuDance(more so than I have in the past) and how to do basic motion editing/creation, applying effects and other stuff.  So I've made an erotic music video(link below).  If anyone's wondering what MikuMikuDance is, MikuMikuDance(or MMD for short) is a program that allows you to create 3D anime-styled music videos by importing 3D models(characters, backgrounds, accessories, etc), importing music, and by either posing the models to create the motions(animations) and/or by using motion data premade by the MMD community. 

I'm still learning MMD and this is my first attempt at making a music video with it using premade data, so I've tried to kept it simple for now.  I was going to try to add many more characters into this and have most all of the background characters having actual sex, but the current number of characters were already over the limit of what the computer I was using at the time seem able to handle.  I've also had trouble encoding the video at first, but I think I figured out how to encode MMD videos now.  This was kind of another test to help me learn about mmd, but I did have fun making this.

Girls x Lust 0.99 live on patreon

Hi everyone,
Girls x Lust 0.99(beta) is now on Patreon for patrons of alpha/beta level.

September 14th, 2016 - Beta 0.99 - Patrons/Donators Special Release

However, since Beta 0.99 and Version 1.0 will be almost identical(version 1.0 is just intended to be a possible bug-fix release for beta 0.99) and they will be released so close together, Beta 0.99 won't be getting a public release.  Please wait just a little bit longer for version 1.0 if you're waiting for a public release.

I am planning to release GxL version 1.0 a few days from now(unless a major bug is found), along with a walk-through guide that I'm currently making.

I hope this news isn't too disappointing, however Girls x Lust is now only a step of away from completion and will be fully released to everyone in the near future.

GxL gallery system and more

Hi everyone,
Girls x Lust Beta 0.99 is now in the final stages of debugging.  This update can be considered a "major update of minor changes", with a significant amount of minor spell checking done throughout the game, and a number of event edits.  Since some of these things might be hard to notice, I will try to make a list of some of them below.



In addition to this, the game now has a Bonus Room that can be accessed from the title screen, a new final erotic scene with animation, and a fully-functional gallery system(though I'm still debugging the scenes in it now) with a total of 46 h-scenes(34 of these are the ones that include animation).

The gallery data is saved separately from everything else in the Game.ini file, so as you find scenes in the game, they will also be unlocked in the gallery.  All the locked scenes will give a hint below on how to unlock them.  There are also a few h-scenes in the gallery that has special conditions to unlock(these scenes are not anywhere in the main game, only in the gallery).

Also, in addition, there are now 2 fortune teller twins in-game who will tell you what to do next whenever you're not sure.

Here is a list of the changes in Beta 0.99:
-Spelling/grammar check throughout the game
-Gallery system is now functional
-Maimi will now sell you rare seeds at the farm if you give her a chocolate ice cream bar
-Baby chick can now grow into an adult chicken and an egg once a day
-Lockbeard will now give you money for a reward instead of a key
-If Sophia doesn't talk to Lockbeard, there will be a small amount of money left in his cell
-Finin no longer tries to sell fish
-Chapel donations are no longer requested
-Henrietta now sells more items
-Letta now only sells one item at the convenience store
-Toll/Minda now only sells one item at the drug store
-erotic scenes are now kept track of for gallery
-major characters are now kept track of for bonus room
-game overs are now kept track of for bonus room
-Mimi's savings no longer has an option to steal from it
-Cell phone is now just a normal item
-Card category removed from pause menu
-Skill and Status options removed from pause menu
-Bonus Room added to title screen
-Fortune teller Tilda added to Mother District
-Fortune teller Hilda added to Beach
-Character mini-bios added to bonus room
-Tilda/Ailda now used for Lithchlo's dialog in Bonus Room
-Additional minor dialog changes
 -bug causing certain events to appear at home when they weren't suppose to is fixed
-Addition minor bug fixes

Girls x Lust Beta 0.99 is coming very soon, once it is released I will continue making the rest of the walk-through guide and try to check for any other bugs, and then release version 1.0, the fully completed version of the game.  I hope you guys will like it.

gxl progress pre-completion

Hi everyone,
GxL is nearly completed now, here some info about the next release:

For the finale of GxL, it will be broken into 2 releases, both to be released in September.

GxL Beta 0.99 will be released on sometime on the first-half of September, this will be the complete version of the game, however, in case i've overlooked something I would like to do one last additional release:

GxL version 1.0 will be released about 1 or 2 weeks after GxL Beta 0.99, this will simply be a final bug-fix of GxL Beta 0.99 in case I've overlooked any problems.  This is met to be the final release of the game.

I've also posted a much more detailed post about GxL and future plans after GxL(including broken hymn, but I will also post more about all this on this blog in the future) here.

Girls x Lust - 0.9 (Final Alpha)

New features include 7 new erotic scenes with animation(plus 3 erotic scenes without animation), 4 character(ending) routes, new events, new sprites/CGs, minor spelling/grammar corrections, farming bug fixes, and more.

(For Filla's Route to be available, you must have chosen an option other than punch Filla in the park when you first meet her(Filla is the rich daughter of the mayor).  The 4th Route(Issa's Route) can be found by choosing Divina's Route and then talking to Issa on the east side of the beach.)

Important for old save files compatibility:  The farming system had a small update(with 3 bug fixes, including one causing the farm not to reset on new games), but certain old save files may contain corrupted farms due to being saved at the time the bug was there.  However, this should be very few due to the conditions needed to cause farm corruption, but if you're using an old save file where the farm isn't working, please use this compatible save file here to start where alpha 0.8 ended instead, or start a new game.

GxL 0.06 coming date

Hi everyone, this is just a quick update,

Girls x Lust alpha 0.06 is on the way, I was hoping to release it today, but it will still take just a bit longer before it's ready (partly due to something unplanned that's unrelated to gxl).

The specific date release date for gxl version 0.06 will be March 5th, 2016.

GxL revisions

Hi everyone,
Girls x Lust has had many changes/additions as the game development progressed since it started originally as alpha 0.01.
I thought you'll might like to look at a few of them just for fun.

The initial alpha 0.01 as made somewhat simple and was build from off of  the maids - perfect game, it looked like this:
Some of initial features included a day/night/time system that effects the game, CG sex scenes with animation, and a sense of exploration effected by choices you make.


Then is alpha 0.02
Many additions to this version especially with the addition of a the farming system and the puzzle system(which has yet to be put into the game's story).  There was expandsion of the map, as well as visual enhancements to the map and to colette/sophia's CG which could be seen the the new erotic scenes.  And as with every new alpha there was an increase in events, as well as an expansion to the main storyline, and new erotic scenes.(these are only the more major additions)


After that is alpha 0.03
Additions to this alpha focused on clean up/completion of the town events.  It also gave the
ability to pause/resume time, and an early gps and game map and more visual enhancements. 
And as with every new alpha there was an increase in events, as well as an expansion to the main storyline, and new erotic scenes.(these are only the more major additions)


Then after that is alpha 0.04
This one main focus was new events and small clean-ups, as well as an enhancement of the UI, and many small visual enhancements such as new/enhanced character sprites, and character CGs.
And as with every new alpha there was an increase in events, as well as an expansion to the main storyline, and new erotic scenes.(these are only the more major additions).


And then is the last released version, alpha 0.05
This had a complete rebuild of the farming system, greatly improving the farm in-game and enlarging it.  It also has a notable expansion of the main storyline, and the longest erotic scene with 14 new animations, as well as new maps(such as the beach and hotel).  And as with every new alpha there was an increase in events, as well as an expansion to the main storyline, and new erotic scenes.(these are only the more major additions).

The game has come quite a ways since it started but it still has quite a bit to go before it's completed.  gxl alpha 0.06 is on the way next.
